The Intruder's Secret

Rick says he heard his wife Connie walking into the house and yelled for her to get out. She didn't run, she ran downstairs with their 15 guns in the house. The intruder knocked Rick down and chased after them before tying him to a chair using tools kept in the basement. He was then burned by a hand held blowtorch from a bag of tools found in the home's basement.
