The Differences Between CoffeeScript and Scala

I remember having different experiences when it came to that mismatch. CoffeeScript is really just a syntax on top of JavaScript. With Elm, very different experience in the sense that like, I just didn't get JavaScript errors. And then Scala, I think was, was somewhere in between where I don't remember getting as many like Java sort of stack traces as I would in CoffeeScript with like JavaScript stack traces. It's cognitive overhead because now you're talking about understanding semantics of the VM that you're operating in.
