The Importance of FDIC Insurance in Cryptocurrencies

I think anyone who's invested in Bitcoin or other crypto currencies for a while has seen the volatility, they accept the volatility. My concern and it's been manifested in the last couple of months in particular is when the currency gets abstracted away from the experience that people have. I'm really worried that as consumers, we've gotten lazy because we've been conditioned to understand FDIC insurance and we therefore don't go look for it anymore. That makes me wonder now that we're seeing something less massive growth than this bull market make sense.
