Brown fat is located six places in the body. It's not like we can take a blood sample and just say, well, because this marker is increased or something, then we know that there is a brown fat. A person who gets easily cold and have a hard time getting warmed up again might not have that much brown fat. So with time when you expose yourself to the cold and you increase your brown fat efficiency in the cells, you will also physically get warmer or faster warmer.
