Oil is a fungible commodity. We don't buy the 200 thousand barrels a day, that doesn't mean it doesn't get sold. It just gets sold to somebody else. So you're exactly right that we do actually need other countries to come in for it to be economically successful. The european union allies are are committing to reduce their imports of russian energy by 80 % this year. If true, would be an enormous a blow to russios ability to raise money internationally.
