Borders Are a Power Structure, Their System of Control

Militarized borders with heavily guarded barbed wire and electrified fences have now been a staple of times of peace. These imaginary lines in a map have become violent fixtures on the landscape, where thousands of people lose their lives every year for simply trying to cross. And thanks to today's technology, governments know more now about the people they govern than at any point in prime human history.
