The Relationship Between Conscience and Prudence

I think that image of the saint kind of just being uncertain is an image that people don't want to talk about. It seems way too human. We want these saints to be people that are unflappable and they step out into the breach, but there's an uncertainty there. The same is the one who says, this seems right. I will do it. Please God, perfect in it what is lacking and help me to be like yet more zealous in the next attempt.
