Identity Politics: The Left's Replacement for Class Politics

The white privilege idea is almost the greatest defeat of class politics you could imagine. To say that there is a privilege shared across those two sections of society strikes me as completely wrong and anti-working class fundamentally. I think it's the greatest threat to conventional class politics. Absolutely. What Britain needs is a traditional and mature social democratic party which really pays attention to the shared economic concerns and social anxieties across the multiracial working classes in Britain. So I think things like workers' rights, employment protections, I want to see more family-friendly housing being built in the country. It would also be good if we had an emphasis when it comes to health care.
