The capitalist logic we're talking about infects social relations in a way that's really diseased. It happens at the institutional levels, like in the university and etc. And it affects the interpersonal level too. I talk to students all the time who start with relationships. Because you are constantly hedging, right? Like there does seem to be a sense in which we're doing that within like I'm trying to court investment from certain types of people.
