The Day of the Lord Is My Day
Jesus is picking up on this common understanding of the Jewish crowd, that Abraham had received a vision from God of what the prophets called the day of the Lord. And Jesus proclaims, he is the fulfillment of that hope. If you were actually Abraham's children, you'd be freaking out right now and rejoicing and celebrating, but you're not. You're only further proving yourselves to not be his people.
