The Rise of the Bouquet in the Heian System
Bouquet backed factional infighting among the heian aristocrats, resulted in violent clashes in the 1150s. The Minamoto and some branches of the remaining Fujiwara family attempted to rebel against the Tyra backed government of Emperor Nijo. This all sounds very complicated in truth, but the short version is that the Minamoto were decisively defeated. Later leader Minamoto and Oushitomo was executed by the head of the Tyra clan, Tyrono Kiyomori. Instead, they were exiled to the east with their eldest son Oyori Tomo.
