The name Ku Klux Klan is unfortunately an example of really good marketing. Six young frat bros wrote out a list of dumb rules secret rituals handshakes code words and hazing guidelines for their new club. Frank McCord would be the president but since president was a boring name they called him the grand cyclops. John Kennedy was the vice president aka grand magi. James Crow was the master of ceremonies aka grand Turk. Calvin Jones and John Lester were night hawks or messengers. Sounds like some fantasy game. It's always that stuff. Like Hitler in his fucking cowboy book.
