Are You a Bonk Run Runner?

Stephanie: I don't think I would want a runner going for either a very long run or a more intense run when they haven't eaten anything beforehand. They're not taking any fuel with them because when they start to really deplete their glycogen stores and they are hitting the wall, they are bonking. You know, your form really gets shot. And so from a long-term health perspective, if you're doing these bonk runs, I just see a big opportunity for injuries that I would rather avoid.
