Is Misinformation a Big Concern With Generative AI?
One research study has found that on average, most generative models are truthful only 25% of the time. I think there's an interesting fascination with artificial intelligence and machines that they always should be truthful rather than something that might come out might be very convincing but completely factually miscorrect. The biggest challenge to kind of knowledge are people or stupid people who are confident that they're right even if they say the wrong things. But again, I'm not really that pessimistic. I think this is a matter of education and in the kind of work that we have been doing a fair bit of philosophical work around data."
