It took about three, three or four months after all the parts were available. The last point was federations, because you had to be able to federate the money that couldn't have happened before bidcoin. One of the ideaof federations, which is, does what it needs to do and is much simpler in a lower risk technical solution. But the other option potendse could be sim secure multiparty computation. Out of the two federations, is much cleaner, simpleran and therefore it's easier to reason about. It's a lower, lower risk option to go with.
