There's so many songs, like an endless playlist of this artist that you know had their first baby and then they had to write a song about it. To me, the song is more powerful knowing at what stage of fatherhood you wrote it because I think there's a lot of artists that will have a child and then of course they're going to start writing songs about their baby. It's strangely comforting as a parent to hear this knowing that you've been on the cusp of adulthood. And thanks to cello in the violin, the strings were like a last-minute edition.
