The Rise and Fall of Paris in the 18th Century

The Sun King and the developments of the Consiec Cloure were one of the great eras of Paris. Louis XIV wants his capital to be commensurate with what he thinks he is himself, which is the greatest ruler in Western Europe. He has a pretty bad view of Parisians as being a bit of a rombustious and turbulent crowd. This doesn't go down well at all with a king who thinks that he's thereby divine right and has absolute power, etc, etc.
