The Idea of Leverage
The idea of leverage is that if a company is competing against other companies, it probably needs resources. And so organizations essentially bid against each other for who's going to pay off the best. Once you've done that and you've raised the money, now the investors are holding you to it. So what we end up with is this industrial complex that begins to spread.
