Tom stoppard was born in a moravian city known for facturing shoes. His father was, in fact, a doctor who worked at a shoe factory. Stopperd fled to singapore on the same day t the naes invaded chekoslavakia. The main difference between stopperd and chopek, of course, is that chopek stayed in prague until he died shortly before world war two.
