The Classified Documents Case and the Republican Vote
The classified documents case came out during that time after July 2022. And I think there is a way in which you could imagine that that would appeal to or kind of like sway a certain type of Republican voter. So 45% of Republicans thought that attempting to obstruct the certification of a presidential election was a serious crime. 36% thinks serious crime to take high classified documents from the White House. There is a contingent of Republicans who are probably concerned by this.
