Podcasts on YouTube - What's the Roadmap?

YouTube is not necessarily moving in a direction of catering to podcasts. YouTube's advantage in podcasting is by far and away search, right? If the podcast industry started including video views or video plays into overarching podcast metrics, the charts would look very different. So many of the top creators have shifted completely to podcast format.
