Composition of History
The original audience of the Composition of John was a group of early Christians, maybe in the circle around John. But it very quickly was used for Jews and Gentiles to come to a knowledge that Jesus was the Christ. Anyone who reads this book at any point is the intended audience of this text. All you have to do is watch the Super Bowl and see some evangelical Christian friend of ours with John through 1617 on his forehead to know that this is a missionary track.
