The Effects of TV
Unlike movies, TV developed in the context of a capitalist industrialist advertising and environment of commerce. The low definition nature of the images makes TV more even of a tactile medium than a visual medium. Your brain has to do more work to fill out the image that's being projected,. You get necessarily more involved and you're more prone to feeling sympathetic to the points of view that are being presented. And so you're subject to like intellectual attack that runs beneath the radar of like verbal argumentation.
