The Importance of Targets in Dark Matter Physics
There are particular targets, right? So there's the QCD axion that was motivated to explain the strong CP problem in the standard model of particle physics. And for these ultralight axioms, there are particular parts of pram space that are particularly motivated from string theory and we want to target them. Those two targets are within reach within the next 10 to 15 years. But it doesn't feel like with these instruments, there's that level of certainty for what it is that you're even looking for.
