If we were to say Mary had original sin in a patristic world, it should be death and passions. It shouldn't just be death. But at a minimum, the passions which are disordered are included. So I think that my own sense is on this debate, until we can admit that there's a good point of reference for talking about what original sin and what lack and what original justice is using an unorthodox standard... We don't want to overemphasize his authority in orthodoxy though.
