The Importance of Burnoff and Flaring
Burnoff is when facilities have a lot of different chemicals in them, right? And so at some point, or there is an incident where you could have too many of these chemicals in the same space and it could cause a catastrophic action. So they will burn off some of those chemicals to ensure that, hey, we're not going to blow up the entire town. It's sort of like a picking the worst of two evils. We've also seen this happen in places where there's not necessarily a facility.
