What's the Coalition Trying to Win?
i spoke to brendon coates, the economic policy program director at the gratton institute. He told me that benefits like the seniors health care card extension and minimum draw down requirements reduce deaming rates on pensions for part pensioners collectively total about a billion dollars out to 20 25. Why is the coalition specifically targeting this group of people, do you think? And i might say it's testament to the power of voters that every time son has announced a policy targeting this group, labor has come out in force against them.
