The Importance of Passion in Songwriting

I think graduating high school, it's a far off thing for somebody from Russaville, Kentucky to say, I want to be a country singer. That just like, isn't the norm or the path for most people in my town? So I think as a kid, I just assumed, well, that's not really an option. So I dropped out of college and I bartended in my hometown until I was like 21. And when I turned 21, I was just kind of like, okay, I've just got to be a Nashville. Like this is very clearly the only thing that excites me and I'm passionate about.
