Netflix's Value Calculus for Shows
The reason people get pissed about decisions that Netflix makes is because a show could chart on Nielsen. But according to Netflix, it's not because it's not efficient enough. The audience that it brings in maybe is already on Netflix. It doesn't bring in new customers or prevent them from churning. Or other factors, maybe the creative is not what they want.
