The Dangers of Imposing Religious Values on a Client
LZ Granderson: I don't want other professionals to feel that religion and spirituality are things that should never be discussed or have no place in therapy. He says a good therapist is spiritually friendly, amenable toward those instincts but they're not intertwining it as an intervention or a theory. LZ: A lot of therapists kind of come right out and say "I specialize in invisible spiritual magical practices" That's dangerous if you don't know about those things at the same time, just like how we have to keep our car in the middle of the road here.
