The Grid Size in the First World

In the volcano world, one of the levels had seemingly like an infinite floor at the bottom. I just didn't really see what that amounted to quite yet in the facts, build. What about the grid size? Like, is it still basically the like big four by four chunk rooms or is it like all kind of a place? The leaves.
