Alfred North Whitehead argued that God is a creative process that permeates nature. And so our participation in this process represents our participation in that process by which novelty emerges in nature, the process of creation itself. I sort of argue that this worldview that I put forward here can potentially be used as a response to the meaning crisis. We use those kinds of social patterns to get a grip on novel complex patterns. It's especially useful to personify complex systems because you can think about them in terms of intentionality.
