If you're a technologist who works with data, and you want to give your time and energy back, come aboard. There's no reason to wait. And increasingly, ask the company you work for if there's opportunities to give back. But very lastly, if you're not a data scientist and you'renot a funder, i would say there's a huge opportunity to get involved in just understanding what this new technology can do.
