Theory that we use is the same one that homer used when he wrote iliad. And if that isn't the description of what imera lakatosh called a degenerating research program, i don't know what. So we shouldn't even try to figure out what hitler was thinking when he invaded russia or what what the japanese leadership was thinking when they invaded pearl harbour.
