Max seddon is our moscow bureau chief. Max says the sanctions on technology could end up being the most devastating of all the sanctions. In about a year, there will be no new capacity for russio to import crucial technology like micre chips and semi conductors that power everything from computers to its own military. And sanctions could also stifle competition in the russian economy because they'll make it harder to build new businesses.

Export controls placed on supply of chips and hardware over Moscow's invasion of Ukraine dent the prospects for Russia's economy, and the US will provide Kyiv with longer-range rocket systems.
