What Is Tick Size?
IEX CEO: "Is it a stock exchange or a data exchange? That's what we've always left" The current tick minimum, one penny, the big talk now is, should we reduce the tick size? Some people argue that should the tick be smaller to get that spread even lower. We tried to do a tick pilot, we won't get into that right now but there was some good things that came out of the money.
