The Dirk Struhan Email Address and the USB Flash Drive
A USB flash drive contained two copies of the ransom note, one a Microsoft Word document and the other in PDF format. The author's name was Paul P. Peters, who had three daughters about Maddie Polver's age. Police tracked him down to an ex-wife's home in Kentucky; he has been charged with breaking and entering. Authorities will allege through the courts that the suspect we were arrested this morning was responsible for placing the device around Maddie's neck.
