The PCI Index is inspired by integrated information theory. It uses EG to measure the disruption of neural activity using transcranial magnetic stimulation, TMS, as an intervention. In some ways, it's an objective measure of consciousness, and that's the idea, right? Any situations where we don't have this functional access, all right? We might actually find out with that more objective measure that there's many more systems that we should count as conscious, right? And we can apply that presumption of similarity more justly.
