Did Toronto Really Want to Trade Fred Van Vliet?

I don't think Toronto really wanted to trade Fred Van Vliet. I like Mason Plumlee as a backup. Eric Gordon may some plumbly help, they help for sure. They've had a lot of games that have left me cold in the sense of like, they actually kind of played clipperish basketball and they just came up a little bit short against a good team. And it makes me think something's missing.
