"I was in one country that was like in war at the time, but I was in the capital. And I was lucky because one of my friends family was in the government," he says. "And so they gave me the government official like armored vehicles and the soldiers and stuff that were protecting us." He recalls being 50 meters away from a suicide bomber who blew up as security tried to pat him down.
