How to Write a Good Alpha Book

Brandon and I have been in a writing group together more or less for what is it now? 11 years? 12 years? Oh wow. And you know we won't name any names but there have been some people that were horrible fits for that writing group because they didn't think about writing the same way we did. We gave some horrible feedback to some people including my brother and he's managed to get published in spite of our help. The best alpha readers are going to give very nitty-gritty your grammars wrong batteries don't work this way kind of stuff. What you're looking for in an alpha is a broad how is my character arc.
