The EU has created a set of deals with just about every coercive force in North Africa. In so doing, it has trampled over the rights and sovereignty of many countries. For EU cash, they have to put European migration before their own people or economies. It is not just the EU - we can see similar processes in America, Australia and Britain. The argument for these policies is that we need to protect our borders from immigration. But in so doing, what rich countries are doing is trampling over the sovereignty and borders of poorer countries. That is something we rarely talk about. I think that is a scandal, and the fact that we are not talking about it is also a scandal.
