What Are the Most Common Thought Process Mistakes When You're Playing Chess?

Hand waving and hope chess are two of the most generic process errors that people make when when they're playing chess. Another error that i see a lot, that i've given a name to, is called the a b c r error. A b c er is where you calculate move a, and then your opponent makes move B immediately - which is a disaster. And what i tell people need to do is if you have time on the clock and you want to play well, re-calculate sequence a through c. That's allso i don't remember wherethat i've read that one. So i'll have to take a look at the dan.
