Introduction
On may nineteenth, the department justice announced a new policy concerning how it will charge cases under the computer fraud and abuse act. The statute has been criticised because it has difficult to determine the kinds of conduct it criminalizes. I sat down with andria metrician, professor of law and associate dean of innovation at pen state law school, to discuss deo jay's new charging policy. We talked about some of the problems created by the c f a a's vague terms as well as its potential for chilling security research.
