Is There a Difference Between Preschool and Kindergarten?

"I was miserable in preschool. I was very, very shy and I didn't talk to anyone," he says. "In kindergarten, you often go to the same school, the same physical building as other kids who are in elementary school." He recalls his first experience being alone without his mom and dad at four years old.
