Accepting Your Feelings
When you make a mistake at work, you might ruminate about it and decide that you're a failure. The first thing you need to do is remember these feelings aren't reality. And as you practise some of these techniques, you will be better able to be with your feelings so they don't have control over you in the moment. When you are accepting your feelings, rather than being rating yourself for well being human, you are being kind to yourself. As nef says, instead of mercilessly judging and criticising yourself for various inadequacies or shortcomings, self compassion means you are kind and understanding when confronted with personal failings. After all, whoever said you were supposed to be perfect?
