Introduction

A spate of recent shootings in New Mexico that had targeted the homes and offices of at least a half dozen elected officials, all of them members of the Democratic Party. Tonight, Albuquerque police have announced that they have made an arrest in these shootings. The man they have arrested and charged is a Republican candidate for a state house seat in last year's elections. Solomon Peña has been accused of conspiring with other men to shoot at the homes of two county commissioners and two state legislators.
