The Exodus Tradition in Deuteronomy 15

The Exodus story is also embedded in the law tradition. In Deuteronomy 15 with the cancellation of debts, it's a big big accent on the Exodus tradition about that. And as you let slaves go, you're to let them go with furnished with all kinds of goods. So it's sort of reenacting the Exodus where they came out of Egypt with their neighbors possessions.
