The History of the Malabar Coast
In December of 1341, the four ships headed down the coast ahead of the monsoon season. The southwestern coast of the Indian subcontinent is commonly called the Malabar coast. It stretches for more than 500 miles or 800 kilometers. These cities were crucial as the in-between spot of trade from China to the Middle East.
