The State of the Russian Space Industry
There isn't really today an independent commercial space industry in Russia to talk about. The Russian economic system and how the space sector has been organized is very much a product of the problems that you mentioned. We have seen numerous reorganizations over the years of the space sector where they've tried to reinvent themselves. It's hard for them to get with the paradigm shift and move more commercial aspects of space into this heavily centralized government space program.
